Two "Devil Horned" Cyphaspis Trilobites - Top Quality Specimen
This is a pair of Cyphaspis walteri trilobites from the Bou Dib Formation near Mrakib, Morocco. This species is sometimes referred to as the "Devil Horn" Cyphaspis for obvious reasons. The preparation on this piece is top quality with excellent shell detail not seen in most specimens and no restoration.
This species was finally formally described in 2014. A link to the paper can be found below.
