Exceptional, Double Walliserops Trilobite - One Specimen Ventral

This is a very cool specimen on the "trident" trilobite Walliserops trifurcatus. There are two specimens naturally associated, one in a slightly arched position, and one prepared ventrally so that the underside of the shell can be seen. As an added bonus the cross section of an enrolled phacopid trilobite can also be seen in the matrix.

Exceptionally nice preparation with clean eye facets, and great shell quality. Only some minor restoration to the fork of the dorsal specimen where it was broken.

A photo of the quarry at Foum Zguid. The Walliserops come out of the very bottom layer, which requires 1-2 meters of limestone overburden to be removed.
