Detailed Fossil Mite (Acari) In Baltic Amber - Jewelry Quality
This 44 million year old piece of baltic amber contains a beautifully detailed, 1.5mm fossil mite (subclass Acari). The amber is relatively clear of debris around the mite, hence the "jewelry quality" label.
As a reminder, most inclusions in baltic amber are extremely small so magnification will be needed to make out much detail. Included with your order is a physical photo of the specimen, and we will also email you a high resolution digital copy.
