Detailed Fossil Fly (Diptera) & Plant (Long Leaf) In Baltic Amber
This is an exquisitely detailed, 44 million year old fossil fly (order Diptera) preserved in Baltic Amber. It's about 6mm wide. A plant leaf (Long Leaf) can be seen within the amber as well, and measures about 13mm wide.
As a reminder, most inclusions in baltic amber are extremely small so magnification will be needed to make out much detail. Included with your order is a physical photo of the specimen, and we will also email you a high resolution digital copy.
