Pennsylvanian Fossil Seed Pod Plate - Kentucky

This is a fossil seed pod that was collected from the Breathitt Formation of Leslie County, Kentucky. It comes from the Late Carboniferous, Pennsylvanian aged forests that formed the coal shales of Kentucky and Ohio.
