2.6" Fossil Starfish (Onychaster & Calyptactis) Plate - Indiana

This is a rare association of two Carboniferous-aged fossil starfish (Onychaster flexilis and Calyptactis confragosus) from the famous crinoid beds near Crawfordsville, Indiana. They are detailed, with three dimensional preservation and have been meticulously prepped with air abrasives under stereo microscope. The largest starfish (Onychaster flexilis) is 1.1" wide and the smaller starfish (Calyptactis confragosus) measures .35" wide.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
