2.27" Hollardops Trilobite With Free-Standing Spines

This is a beautifully prepared, 2.27" long Hollardops mesocristata trilobite. The limestone surrounding it has been undercut, so that both genal spines, as well as the edges of the entire trilobite are free-standing. It appears to float above the rock in a very aesthetic display. This style of preparation takes a very skilled preparator and many extra hours of work. There is some shell restoration along a repaired crack running down the left side of the body, primarily on the tail, about 6% in total.
