Bulk Fossil Squalicorax (Crow Shark) Teeth - 10 Pack
You will receive ten Squalicorax teeth chosen at random. The teeth range from about .9 to 1.4 inches in length and are near complete though some have chipped tips, edges or roots. The images shown are representative to the teeth that you will receive. There maybe two species represented Squalicorax pristodontus and Squalicorax kaupi. We have higher quality specimens for sale individually in our normal Fossils For Sale section of the website. An ID card will be included for each specimen.
Squalicorax would have had a body type very similar to todays grey sharks but the teeth most closely resembled that of tiger sharks. It was likely a coastal predator, but there is evidence it was also a scavenger as evidenced by a Squalicorax tooth having been found embedded on the bone of a Hadrosaur. Hadrosaurs were terrestrial dinosaurs, so it likely had died on land and been swept out to see.
