Polished Red Snakeskin Agate Worry Stones

These are 2" wide, polished, red snakeskin agate worry stones. The pictures are representative to the stone you will receive, but there is some variation in colors and patterning.

Carnelian is a semi-precious variety of chalcedony that features an orange or orange-red coloration. Its name is believed to come from the Latin word carneus, meaning 'flesh colored'. The reddish color is caused by iron oxide impurities in the silica that makes up the chalcedony.

Carnelian is one of the oldest known gemstones. It was widely used in ancient Rome to make insignias and seals for imprinting on letters or important documents because hot wax does not stick to carnelian.

Worry stones are smooth, polished stones, usually in the shape of an oval, with a thumb-sized indentation. They are often used by people for relaxation or anxiety relief purposes, the same way as some people use a fidget spinner. Typically, worry stones are 1 1/2 to 2 inches across. They may also be referred to as palm stones, thumb stones, fidget stones, etc.
