1.6" Black Tourmaline (Schorl) Crystal Cluster - Namibia

This is a great cluster of black tourmaline (schorl) from the Erongo Mountains in Namibia. It has beautiful, non-metallic luster and natural terminations with minor damage. There is a small aggregation of quartz at the base of the schorl.

Tourmaline is a crystalline boron silicate mineral compounded with elements such as aluminium, iron, magnesium, sodium, lithium, or potassium. Schorl, or black tourmaline, is the most common form of tourmaline, and has been used for everything from jewelry to piezoelectric guitar pickups.
