Very Large 4.11" Huntonia From Oklahoma - Exceptional

This is a very large, and exceptionally nice specimen of Huntonia huntonensis from the famous Black Cat Mountain quarry in Clarita, Oklahoma. A good complete one in excess of four inches only comes around every couple of years. This one is 4.11" long and is a beauty with gorgeous, caramel colored shell and great eye facets. There is a injury/bite to the left genal spines and pleural tips next to the genal spine. Also another cool aspect of this specimen is there is a cephalopod fossil also present on the top of the matrix in cross section.

The marvelous specimen was prepared by master preparator Bob Carroll. The only restoration is a couple of very small shell touchups <1% and some repair/fill work to the matrix. Truly a fantastic specimen
