Serrated, 1.49" Tyrannosaur Tooth - Judith River Formation, Montana

This is a 1.49" long Tyrannosaur tooth from the Judith River Formation of Montana. This formation is approximately 70 million years old, or about 5 million years old than the Hell Creek Formation which produces T-Rex. Comes with a floating frame display case.

The serrations and enamel are in excellent condition. There is some minor fracturing to the enamel and the tip of the tooth is feeding worn.

There are three described Tyrannosaurs from the Two Medicine Formation & Judith River Formation, Albertosaurus, Gorgosaurus and Daspletosaurus. Research done on teeth from these three Tyrannosaurs has concluded that isolated teeth are statistically impossible to assign to a specific genre because they are so similar.
