This is a 1.31" long Tyrannosaur tooth from the Judith River Formation of Montana. This formation is approximately 70 million years old, or about 5 million years old than the Hell Creek Formation which produces T-Rex. Comes with a floating frame display case.
Most of the enamel on the tooth is in good shape and fine serrations are present along on edge. There is some feeding wear to the tip and some minor chipping of the enamel in various spots around the tooth. There is one repaired crack at the tip of the tooth.

Three species of tyrannosaur have been described from the Two Medicine & Judith River Formations: Albertosaurus, Gorgosaurus and Daspletosaurus. Research done on teeth from these three tyrannosaurs has concluded that isolated teeth are statistically impossible to assign to a specific genus because they are so similar.
