Rare, 1.1" Trigonocerca Piochensis - Fillmore Formation, Utah

This is only the second time a specimen of this species has ever been offered for sale. It's a rare Trigonocerca piochensis from the Carolinites Nevadensis Zone of the Fillmore Formation in Utah. It was collected last spring from one of our newest leases. Prior to excavations on this lease I'm only aware of a single complete specimen of this species being found.

It is 1.1" long and mostly complete, other than the shell on the left cheek flaked off and was not recovered. It's located on rectangularly cut, 2.4 x 2.2" slab of shale. These are quite very rare to find complete and outstretched, but this one is bargain priced due to the missing cheek.
