Oreodont Jaw Section

This is a 2 1/2 inch long section of jaw from Merycoidon culbertsoni an Oreodont. Oreodonts are an extinct mammal believed to be distantly related to pigs, hogs and cammels. They were about the size of a large dog and had a heavy body, tusk-like canine teeth, short legs and four-toad hooves.
