is a jaw section with 5 molars from the primitive horse Mesohippus. It comes from the Scenic Member of the Brule Formation in South Dakota making it around 32 million years old. There have is some repair and stabilization to the jaw section but it's in overall good shape.

This specimen as was collected, prepared and identified by the Black Hills Institute.
