Huge Fossil Pectin (Chesapecten) In Sandstone - Virginia

These are giant fossil Pectin (Chesapecten) collected from the Yorktown Formation in Virginia. It's covered in various fossil shell pieces and is still partially embedded in the sandstone in which it was found. The cluster is massive at over 10.3" wide, with the largest shell measuring 7.7" wide.
