Large, Top Quality Coltraneia Trilobite - 2.6"

This is a large, and top quality specimen of the "bug eye" trilobite Coltraneia oufatenensis. This trilobite was quarried at Ofaten Mountain, Morocco and is 2.6" long which is quite large for the species which has often been referred to as Treveropyge in the past. The eye facets in it's tower eyes are nicely preserved, in particular in the right eye. The preparation work on this specimen is exceptionally nice, much better than you typically see.
