Killer 3.21" Auriculatus Tooth - Dakhla, Morocco

This is a killer tooth of the mega-toothed shark, Carcharocles auriculatus. It is believed Carcharocles auriculatus was closely related to the Megalodon but lived nearly 10-20 million years earlier.

This tooth was collected from the Late Eocene aged deposits of the Western Sahara Desert in Morocco. It's 3.21" long and exhibits great preservation, including gorgeous enamel, sharp serrations, a nice tip and finely serrated cusps. It's extremely rare to find Auriculatus teeth from this region in such good condition as nearly all of the teeth are found broken. No repairs or restoration. Don't miss out on this beauty.
