Huge, Serrated 6.28" Megalodon Tooth - South Carolina

This is an absolutely massive and stunning Megalodon tooth at 6.28" in length. Meg teeth in excess of 6 inches are rare finds and represent super-sized individuals who probably would have measured around over 50 feet in length. They were true apex predators of the Miocene seas.

This huge tooth, is not only long but it's heavy at over 18 ounces. Many of the serrations along the edge of the blade are still sharp. The root is very robust and the glossy enamel is beautiful. There is missing enamel on the non-display side, but there has been no restorations done to the tooth.
