Fossil Sycamore And Hackberry Leaves - Montana

These are two detailed leaf fossils, a 6.7" Sycamore (Platanus) and a 2.4" hackberry (Celtis), from the Fort Union Formation, Glendive,Montana. The dark brown preservation of the leaf fossil contrasts well against the shale. This specimen has a repaired crack. There may also be some touchups to the surface of the leaf where some of it flaked onto the negative during collection.

This specimen comes with an acrylic display stand.
