Fossil Fly (Diptera) and an Air Bubble in Baltic Amber
This 44 million year old piece of baltic amber contains a fossil fly (order Diptera) and an air bubble that moves around. The air bubble likely occurred when a water droplet was encapsulated in the amber with a small pocket of air.
