Absolutely Killer .92" Utaspis - Marjum Formation, Utah

This is an extremely nice specimen of a scarce trilobite from the Marjum Formation of Utah, Utaspis marjumensis. It's .92" long and immaculately prepared. I collected and prepared this specimen myself, several years ago and it had been in my personal collection ever since.

While molts of Utaspis are not difficult to find maybe only 1-2% of them have cheeks and many of these are poorly preserved. You can dig for days without finding a complete specimen at the quarry. This specimen comes from the only private lease on the Marjum Formation where they can be legally collected and sold.
