Bargain, 9.4" Diplodocus Caudal Vertebra - Colorado

This is a 9.4" long, fossil sauropod (Diplodicus) caudal (tail) vertebra from the Morrison formation near Dinosaur, Colorado. It is in fairly rough shape and was partially prepared but not restored. The bone is largely, free of the surrounding rock and in stable condition. There is a gap fill in the middle of the centrum. The vertebral arch and the spinal process are mostly intact. This is a great opportunity to do your own restoration or leave it as it is.
