9.2" Wide Ordovician Brittle Star (Ophiura) Multiple Plate - Morocco
This is a 9.2" wide plate containing two complete fossil brittlestars, two partials and what looks like a fossil coral head. The brittlestars are of the genus Ophiura and come from the the Kataoua Formation of Morocco. The orange coloration is natural and due to the oxidization of iron pyrite.
