2.5" Unusual Phacops Species - Jebel Zireg, Morocco

This is an unusual species of Phacops from a location now widely collected near Jebel Zireg, Morocco. It was collected either in or near the 'Septimopeltis couche'. It's one of only three examples I was able to acquire of this species.

This specimen is the largest of the three I acquired at 2.5" long. Both the preservation and preparation are very nice and just check out the EYE FACETS. There is some compression on the left side of the specimen.
