2.3" Cretaceous Turritella Fossil - Tennessee

This is Turritella vertebroides fossil from the Late Cretaceous, Coon Creek Formation of Tennessee. This specimen has been nicely prepared to expose the fossil from the surrounding sandstone. The base of the rock is flat, so that it sits up nicely without the need of a display stand, however a stand is accompanied with the specimen for preferred presentation.
