12.1" Wide Ammonite Plate (Harpoceras, Dactylioceras) - Germany
This is a 12.1" wide cluster of ammonites from the Posidonia Shale of Germany. They have been compressed and are preserved on a black shale in a partially pyritized state. The largest ammonite is 5" across and is of the genus Harpoceras. Most of the smaller ammonites are Dactylioceras. It comes with an acrylic display stand.
