1.7" Cretaceous Fossil Fish Vertebrae In Rock - Morocco
This is a 1.7", four vertebra, spinal section from phosphate deposits, Khouribga, Morocco. This specimen is associated vertebra still contained in the rock in which they were found. The first vertebra in the sequence is disarticulated slightly. These vertebrae are likely from the section of spine just in front of the tail. In addition to the vertebrae section, there are several other bone fragments, including one on the reverse side.
There are a number of fish from the cretaceous seas in what is now Morocco. It is almost impossible to make an accurate identification from vertebrae.
Comes with an acrylic stand.
