Bargain, 1.1" Wide Thaleops Trilobite From Wisconsin
This is a rarely seen trilobite from the Platteville Formation of Wisconsin. It's a partially enrolled Thaleops ovata which is about 1.1" wide. It was found ventrally this summer, prepared and remounted on the rock.
The Platteville Formation is rarely collected and complete trilobites are very tough to find. Our digging partner who has a leased quarry on this formation has only found a handful of nice trilobites in the past two years for the locality.
