Dalmanites limulurus is a very visually striking trilobite and one of the classic North American fossils. Two of it's most defining features are it's prominent schizochroal eyes and tail spike. These trilobites average between 2 and 2 1/2 inches with extremely large examples sometimes exceeding 3 inches. The Rochester Shale exposed at Caleb’s Quarry, near Middleport, NY is the primary source of these richly detailed and well-preserved trilobites. We are able to offer well prepared examples of Dalmanites trilobites for sale, from our sources at this quarry. Learn more about trilobites.
